Square Small Businesses eCommerce are not so Small Anymore

Square launched its well-known card reader app for businesses nearly 10 years ago. That card reader app performed wonders, it allowed smartphones to read accurately credit cards, resolving a big issue for even the smallest of American companies. Now, almost 10 years later and most of them small eCommerce companies are no longer considered so small. That fast food restaurant that used to cater to enthusiasts, is a thriving business today with wholesale customers around the country and a model to ship directly to the consumer through their e-commerce site; that start-up taco truck has a fleet of 9 trucks today, thanks to their e-commerce site.

Through these years, as these companies have expanded, they began to have new requirements and faced many challenges, as most businesses do. Square has and will, continue to work in addressing them. Square’s Solutions Partner Program is the company’s latest launch that has been designed to grow and meet the new demands of these companies.

As Pankaj Bengani, the Global Partnerships Lead for Square explained, Square retailers were looking for assistance building a customized online store or dedicated mobile checkout experience that connects directly to Square to simplify both their online sales as well as their offline sales. As Square retailers, they were made to look at a seemingly bottomless pit of Google search. That is until now. Square wanted to give these retailers a partner that has already been approved and understands how to assist businesses in expanding, while at the same time continuing their synced and secure payments with Square. Square’s new program allows the company to remain a vital partner for any Square powered business.

The Powerful Launch of the Partnership Program

With hundreds of channel partners and developers from across the world got together to witness and learn how exactly Square can assist in powering their client’s business at the company’s annual Partners Squared Summit, the Solution Partnership Program platform was finally launched. While you may be unfamiliar with the name Brett Spiegel, you are probably familiar with their work at Shake Shack in Manhattan. Brett’s team customized the kiosk and Square powered it with its simple, yet efficient payment process.

As Brett clarified, the easy payment flow was an element of success for this new ordering method, which was greeted with approval by Shake Shack employees as well as their customers. He also said that with the power of Square, they now had the ability to broaden their business with other restaurant brands as well.

With this partnership program, retailers from all industries are given access to partners, such as Vision33 who aided the Leadbetter Golf Academy in connecting all 40 of their worldwide sites to Square. SAP Business One. With this partnership with Square, the Leadbetter Golf proprietor gained an easy to use data dashboard, and the checkout process was also simplified for the Academy’s golf professionals.

Square’s announcement about a revamp for their flagship reader came right before the Solutions Partner Program.
